We were trying to play with wingers really wide and Gerrard getting into the box. We wanted to spread the other team. If you play with more strikers but the other team is really deep, maybe it is more difficult. We wanted to create space
Maybe rafa got a point here but what the hell playing kuyt in right position?
we're underrating wigan just like we did against derby, scoring one goal, able to score more to kill off the game but guilty of trying to walk the ball into the goal, then gets punished, only then take the match seriously, unfortunately this time there is not enough time
rafa made an experiment to play torres as a lone striker, so what better opponent to do such experiment than against lowly wigan? wigan proved 4-5-1 is an idiotic formation, more idiotic because we're playing home and we should've deployed 3 or 4 strikers and just have fun of banging 4 or 5 goals instead of holding on a 1-0 lead AT ANFIELD
kewell is as rubbish as kuyt could've been tonight
pennant shows he has no place in liverpool anymore crosses are much better in quality rather than quantity
fuck rafa why can't you fucking win the league? i don't want the americans to sack you, but why can't you deliver the premiership?
which of these two do u consider a good perfomance:
a. they played really well(e.g vs man city & vs man utd) but they didnt take the chance to score.
b. they play embarassingly bad (e.g vs derby) but they luckily manage to score (even in the very last minute. and i take it as we werent lucky not to score vs wigan. darn.)
and i really appreciated it if u only choose between the these to situation. bcoz i think we all agree that good performance is both good gameplay and that we take the chance to score.
gud question you always come up with gud questions and you have to pick only one as your answer
i would take the latter as my answer winning the league is all about nailing results even when you're not performing this is no 1970's liverpool when the title goes to the most entertaining team in this modern era, those who nick in lucky goals to grind out 1-0 wins are the title contenders to win the title, you have to win convincingly when you're dominating the game (kill off the opponent when the ball is on our feet) and when the team is having a bad day, just keep a clean sheet and have a lucky deflection or a goalmouth scramble or a 'keeper's error to win it 1-0 at the end of the day, none of the possession, shots on target, corners won matters the only thing(s) that matters are goals and 3 points
