Arsenal versus Manchester United has shaped to be one of the biggest fixtures in the Premier League. Traditional rivalries such as Liverpool versus Manchester United or Everton, or Arsenal versus Tottenham Hotspur have been overshadowed by this clash of two modern giants.
Mainly because of Wenger and Ferguson, of course. Two longest serving managers in the league.
Back in UTP, this fixture will draw the biggest crowd to the mamak stalls. Manchester United has the biggest fan base in UTP, but I'm not sure Arsenal has the second biggest. Regardless, though, it is a very fun fixture for the neutrals like me. As a Liverpool fan, I would hope for the best result to suit Liverpool to chase the leading pack, and that would be for both teams to drop points, hence, a draw. It was tense and dramatic, but I got my wish granted, it did end with a draw. Thanks to man-of-the-match, linesman Darren Cann.
However, my bigger wish did not come true. Liverpool maintained their unbeaten run with their sixth draw in eleven. To draw six matches is the same as losing four matches. 1-0 wins are the backbone of a title-winning season, and Liverpool proved unable to find those elusive goals.
